I get blood work every time. By the end, my arms look a bit like an IV drug user. They test for estrogen and progesterone levels and call me later in the day with any med dose adjustments they might make based on that. Then, I go in for a vaginal ultrasound so they can look at my ovaries to see the quantity and size of any follicles and to look at my uterus. Today, they saw about 5 little follicles on each ovary, which is normal. I still feel normal, too (not bloated due to large ovary size). I am going to yoga tonight while I still can bend and move!
This is the monitoring room. Yay for stir-ups.
In case anyone wondered, this is the vaginal ultrasound probe. Insert penis joke here.
This morning I left my house around 7:40 and got back at 9:30, so there is a time commitment. I am very happy to work from home during this process.
Next appointment: Thursday morning.
UPDATE: 12 pm- I just got the call that my estrogen is too low (40.7) which means my body is not responding the way they want. So, the doctor wants to increase my Bravelle to 450 units/day, which means I'll now have to mix 6 vials of Bravelle. This is bad news for me a) because I want my body to respond better, dammit; and b) Bravelle isn't cheap.
