Day 13

It's about the same as yesterday.

Day 13 of stims and not much as changed. The bad news is the follicles grew so little since yesterday that I need to do Bravelle shots today and maybe tomorrow too! I have to go back tomorrow morning for the THIRD day in a row to see how things are looking. My estrogen actually went down today, which the nurse said could mean the smaller follicles aren't producing estrogen anymore. She said everything is just slowing down. :(

The good news is they gave me enough samples of meds to get through today. This saved me a lot of money and a trip to the pharmacy, so I was super happy about that. I instead used the time to take a long walk in the park. :)

I am really hoping that by tomorrow they've grown enough so that ER could be Sunday. That's the earliest it would be. At this point, I just want to make it to ER and get a few good eggs out of there.

Just to put this into prospective, stims are usually 10-12 days. We were all sort of planning on 10 this cycle since I was on this higher dose, but here we are at day 13. I asked if my ovaries are "tired" or "worn out" or "dried up and old" but the answers to all of these were no. Apparently different cycles can yield different results. This cycle is being mean to me. I am feeling the hormones and mostly I just feel tired and a bit sad. But, hanging onto hope that this will work and I won't have to do this again.
