Day 8 Monitoring Appointment

Good news today! The follicles are growing! My husband came with me this morning and it was so nice to have him there. I was really nervous because I am at day 8 and really don't feel too much discomfort. By day 7 or 8 of last cycle I specifically remember not being able to run anymore. Yesterday I felt like I could have run (but I decided to stop- just walking and light yoga from here on out).
We are still waiting on blood work results, but they said that the follicles are there and looking pretty good. They are still only 10-11mm each in size, but luckily there is not a follicle that is "outpacing" the rest. So, we wait until they all grow until about 18-20mm each (I think that's what they were last cycle at ER), but they should grow at a pace of about 1-2mm per day, so hopefully we are looking at ER (egg retrieval)  by the middle or end of the week. I will soon start a 3rd daily injection (probably on Monday) to make sure I don't ovulate before they go in and take them out surgically.

This is one view of my right ovary. I've added red arrows to point out the follicles. You can see they are bigger than the last time and the nurse thinks there are about 8 follicles on each ovary, which would be really great. (Remember the ultrasound is just one "slice" of the view, there is also a depth to the ovary that this view won't show.)

My left ovary. You can pretty clearly see- all the dark spots are follicles! Now we hope there are maturing eggs in each follicle. 

I definitely feel relieved and a bit more optimistic. I am hoping my estradiol comes back higher, too.  I am continuing at the 450 unit dose of Bravelle.

UPDATE: 12 noon- Nurse called to let me know estrogen is up to 382! I am happy to see progress!
